• Technical (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics): 21-25 years

Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2025 Education Qualification

General Duty (GD):

• Candidates must possess a Graduate Degree from a recognized university.

• They should have studied Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to Class 12 under the 10+2+3 education scheme or an equivalent qualification.

• Candidates who have completed graduation after a diploma are also eligible, provided their diploma included Physics and Mathematics in the curriculum.

Technical Branch (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics):

• Candidates must hold an Engineering Degree from a recognized university in one of the following disciplines:

  For Mechanical Branch:

  • Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechatronics, Industrial and Production, Metallurgy, Design, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering.

  • Equivalent qualifications recognized by the Institution of Engineers (India), exempted from Section ‘A’ and ‘B’ and eligible for AMIE membership, are also accepted.

  For Electrical/Electronics Branch:

  • Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Instrumentation and Control, Electronics and Communication, Power Engineering, or Power Electronics.

  • Equivalent qualifications recognized by the Institution of Engineers (India) under the same criteria are also valid.

• Candidates must have studied Mathematics and Physics up to Class 12 as part of the 10+2+3 scheme or equivalent.

• Those who completed graduation after a diploma are eligible only if the diploma included Physics and Mathematics in the curriculum.
